World Long Drive will make its highly anticipated return to Kingsport Tennessee, for the first time since 2019 and for it’s first televised event of the season.  

Competition will begin on Saturday August 26th at 8:00 a.m. with the Senior Division, featuring reigning senior division World Champion Eddie Fernandes, who has four tour wins this year, the most of all divisions players. It will not be easy for Eddie to capture his fifth title as the senior division is loaded with talent this tournament. The entirety of the Senior Division will be streamed on the World Long Drive YouTube.

Directly after the Senior Division is finished, the amateur division will start at 10:30 a.m., with the top 8 players in groups 1 and 2 advancing to the Round 2. Round 2 will begin at 3 p.m. in the same format as the top 8 will advance to the Quarterfinals and will go until a champion is crowned. The entirety of the Amateur Division will be streamed on the World Long Drive Youtube. Families are encouraged to join us Saturday August 26th, for Kids Day, presented by Greater Kingsport Family YMCA. Bounce castles, face painting and activities will be available to kids 12 and under.

On Sunday, the Open Division will begin at 8 a.m. with 64 players split into four groups. at 8AM. Each group is made up of 16 players evenly divided based on their World Rankings. Players will hit in a round robin format with the Top 8 advancing from each group. Round 2 will resume the following day. 

Following Round 1 of the Open division, the Women’s Division will begin their event at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday with the round of 16, which will decide who makes the quarterfinals and the TV rounds. Sixteen players will hit in the Round Robin format, with the Top 8 advancing to compete on Monday. World #1 Monica Lieving will be in search of her third win of the year.

The Open Division will start play on Monday at 9 a.m., with the first 16 hitters in the group of 32 hitting in a round robin format once again with the top 8 hitters from each group advancing. The final round before the televised portion of the competition will take place at 1 p.m. as the Top 16 in the Open Division will reduce to 8 before the televised rounds. 

The YouTube coverage will stop before the quarterfinals, and the rest of the competition all the way until a crowned champion, will be televised later in the night on the Golf Channel.  Fans can watch the quarterfinals through finals of the women’s event starting at 8 p.m. and open event starting at 9 p.m., Monday August 28th on the Golf Channel.

Before the Competition 

Friday, August 25th the World Long Drive Pro-Am that will kick off with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. at the Cattails at Meadowview Golf Course, the site of this week’s competition. Each threesome will be paired with a World Long Driver, as well as receive a welcome gift bag, lunch and a 30-minute clinic with a Pro Long driver. Register as a single or threesome.
