Colton Casto Takes First Tournament Win
Posted OnJune 26, 2023 byCasto, who entered the weekend ranked No. 8 in the world, improved as the weekend progressed. He hit six out of 30 balls in play in Round One, topping out at 369 yards. He put eight of 30 balls on the grid in Round Two with his best ball traveling 379 yards. Combining the Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Final, Casto put 11 of 24 balls in play and saved his best drive of the weekend for the final round, hitting a 380-yard drive to beat Justin James by four yards.Read More…

Zack Holton earns first career win, Phillis Meti gets first win of 2023 at WLD La Salle
Posted OnJune 12, 2023 byZack Holton saved his best set for last, putting five out of six balls in play in the final round to secure his first career World Long Drive win. Holton, who entered the week ranked No. 8 in the world, took down Martin Borgmeier with a top drive of 468 yards in the final round; Borgmeier (No. 2 in the world) hit a 440-yard drive in the finals. Holton’s final round drives were 468 yards, 467 yards, 465 yards (twice), and 463 yards.
Phillis Meti, world No. 4 entering the weekend, took home her first win of 2023. Meti crushed a 378 yard drive in the finals to capture the WLD La Salle title. Gabi Powell finishes as runner-up; her best ball in the final round went 350 yards. Meti topped out at 370 yards in the semifinal round.
